Danger & Caution Boards

Railway Track Danger / Caution Boards

Railway tracks are equipped with Danger and Caution Boards to ensure the safety of personnel and train operations. These boards serve as visual warnings:

Danger Boards indicate areas where there is a high risk, such as sharp curves, steep gradients, or work zones. Personnel must exercise extreme caution and follow safety protocols in these zones.

Caution Boards signal areas requiring alertness but with relatively lower risk, such as speed restriction zones or sections under maintenance.

The boards are standardized in size, color, and placement to ensure clear visibility for train drivers and track workers. Proper adherence to these boards is critical to prevent accidents, maintain operational safety, and protect both human life and railway infrastructure.
